For centuries, the word “lady” has been a nuanced term for women who behave properly, but the word is used here as a provocation. The exhibit aspires to re-introduce the work of female painters, sculptors, photographers, and interdisciplinary artists including Mimi Gross, Jessica Stockholder, Nancy Grossman, and Louise Nevelson.
